Open Robots: Leveraging Open Source Resources

Open Robots offers K-12 & University student resources to provide access to robotics & AI learning for the next generation, partnering with industry experts.

Our Approach

Our Approach

We intend to work with OpenRobotics open software and hardware platforms for robotics. Working with the global community, we will utilize the following open source platforms: ROS, Gazebo and Open-RMF. We intend to program robots with ROS, simulate them with Gazebo, and interoperate systems using Open-RMF. These platforms are widely used around the world, from production deployments to classroom projects. The underlying curriculum uses STEM Standard that cover the very basics of programming to the advanced scientific principles in details. This includes considerations such as 4 bar linkage mechanism, centrifugal force, centripetal force, sound element, differential gear, steering mechanism etc.

The ultimate goal is to enable self-directed learning by solving various problems on your own.
